I was thinking of sewing a gingham dress for quite a long time but, surprisingly, I couldn't find an appropriate 100% cotton fabric. But as soon as I found one I picked it for my next project for Minerva Craft Blogger Network. Paired with McCalls 6696 pattern it was turned into a vintage style shirt dress.
I hardly ever use the same pattern twice, but sometimes I simply can't resist trying a particular style in in a new fabric. That's exactly what happened with this Burda Style dress that I made in cotton before and couldn't wait to replicate the original light weight design.
